Jasmine Blue is the brainchild of guitarist Danny Keane and vocalist Noelle Stanley. It all started in the fall of 2003 in Silver Spring, MD, while jamming in the depths of a basement illuminated with strings of blue lights and drinking some really strong tea of the Jasmine variety. Hence the name "Jasmine Blue" .... it evokes the feeling of the music, or is it the other way around?

We've expanded to a full band, including percussionist/sound engineer Jim DeVaughn, bassist Royce Bouknight, and drummer Carl Bouknight. The band is heavy with prolific songwriters and music makers, each from a distinct musical background. Whether it be rock, jazz, soul, or folk, the combination of these forces unite themselves into a sound both unique and universal.
